I had a terrible night of rest the other day. My youngest son wanted to stay up and keep nursing all night long. Needless to say the next day I was dragging. I had to take a nap, something I never get to do, and it was great!

I’m intentionally working on getting more rest because it’s necessary for me to function the way I need to.

What happens to your body when you don’t get enough rest:

  1. You may get sick
  2. You gain weight
  3. You forget things and get foggy
  4. You are accident prone

Reasons why you aren’t getting enough rest:

  1. You take sleep for granted
  2. You rely on caffeine and alcohol
  3.  Eating and drinking late
  4. Failing to wind down before bed
