Marsha Barnes loves to help women understand and be confident in their finances and encourages them to follow their dreams.
Marsha Barnes is a finance expert with over 17 years in the financial industry, a military spouse, and mom of 1. She knew that she wanted to do more when her parents and best friend were laid off – the financial crisis hit too close to home. She began teaching financial literacy to help them handle these huge life changes. Out of that desire to help the local community, she launched The Finance Bar through the mobile hub and consulting services. Throughout this whole ride – she was raising her son while her husband was overseas. She used these experiences to push her further to help people.
Through her work, Marsha has been featured on Forbes, Essence, Iyanla Fix My Life, Black Enterprise and many more.
Marsha’s personal finance expertise and zest for financial awareness has allowed her to share and partner with numerous media outlets and brands on and offline including:
Forbes, NPR, Essence, OWN-Iyanla Fix My Life, The Tom Joyner Morning Show, Black Enterprise, State Farm, Northwestern Mutual, Experian, Progressive and many more.
Marsha is certified in financial social work, as a financial educator, and certified credit report reviewer. As a lover of all things finance, Marsha is a forever learner in the personal finance space and firmly believes in supplying her clients most basics needs while journeying with them to map out their long-term desires. Marsha has been named as a Female Tech Leader in the Finance Industry.
